Roadmap for Next Generation Infrastructure

The biggest challenge for BIM is getting the “I” – Information – to be interoperable with all the stakeholders without the barrier of multiple siloed data standards.

Often the recommended solution for too many data standards is to create another data standard. Our roadmap leverages existing government financial reporting data standards that are hierarchically synergized and mapped with other standards.

The United States has been developing the eXtended Business Reporting Language (XBRL) that in turn is synergized with the International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS). Enabling data interoperability across all borders and languages for establishing an International Data Ecosystem Architecture (IDEA).

XBRL/IFRS taxonomies already have most if not all the key data elements already defined to enable innovative advances in smart contracts and blockchain that promote efficiency and enables AI development that will unleash the potential for next generation infrastructure.
